Privacy policy
This policy explains how ACCUDY, trading as KnockEats ("KnockEats", "we") uses your information when you order food on knockeats.com or the KnockEats app, deliver as a rider, or apply to list a restaurant. To ask about your information, email help@knockeats.com.
What we collect
Your account: name, email address, phone number and saved addresses.
Your orders: what you order, from where, delivery address, notes, tips, ratings and help requests.
Location: your delivery address, and your device's location only when you allow it, to show restaurants near you. Riders' locations while they are on a delivery.
Payments are handled by the restaurant's payment provider. We never see full card numbers.
How we use it
To place your order with the restaurant, deliver it and keep you updated (contract).
To help with problems, refunds and safety, and to prevent fraud and misuse (legitimate interests).
To show restaurants and offers that suit you, and to send offers only if you have turned them on (consent).
Restaurants and riders
When you order, the restaurant receives what it needs to prepare and deliver your order: your name, phone number, address and order. The restaurant is responsible for its own use of that information. Your rider sees your first name, address and delivery notes, and calls are connected without showing your number where the feature allows.
Who else we share it with
Providers who help run KnockEats, such as hosting, maps, messaging and couriers, under contracts that protect your information. We share information when the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for up to six years for legal and accounting reasons. You can delete your account from the account page at any time. We then remove your profile and keep only the order records we must keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, and move it to another service. To do this, email help@knockeats.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We will post any change on this page.
